Welcome to the Bryan Twins Doubles Race.

The Southern California Tennis Association and the Bryan Twins have partnered to bring awareness and attention to junior doubles play in our section. This will encourage more doubles competition and the chance to be apart of a team and working together on the court. “The Junior Competition Committee is excited to promote and encourage doubles play in our section. To be able to do it with the Best Doubles Team of all time, adds a special element to our Junior Pathway. This opportunity puts a focus on doubles and will add many elements to our tournament offerings in Southern California for the junior players,” said Trevor Kronemann-Director of Junior Tennis in Southern California.

All doubles events will be counted toward s the overall winner of the Bryan Twins Doubles Race in Levels 1-6. Each tournament   in 2017 will be counted with the partner you played with in that event, at the points that are on the points tables for each level of event. There will be a winner of the year long race in each age division B/G 10s-18s. The winner of the race will have their names engraved on the perpetual trophy that will be housed at the SCTA office and present at many events throughout Southern California.

You can play with multiple partners, but remember it will be an accumulation of all points with each partner. For instance, if you have 350 points with one partner and 250 with the other, you would be higher in the race with the partner with 350 points. We are encouraging teams to play and stay together through out the year as you chase the Championship in your age division. The website and ranking pages will be updated and will reflect the point standings and pictures from the Doubles Race in 2017. Good Luck!

We are very excited and proud to lend our names and support to the Doubles Race for our SCTA Juniors. We had a blast playing doubles each and every weekend at the wonderful junior tournaments in our years growing up in Southern California. ﷯ Doubles is fun for juniors and it really rounds out skills and teaches additional life lessons - - - and some youngsters just love the “team thing”. Doubles gives our sport more width and breadth. Plus, it gives young players a “second chance” if they lose their singles match at a tournament. And there are always more smiles on the doubles court. With more doubles programming, promotion, and coaching we could greatly increase the number of kids playing and staying with tennis. We say thanks to our friend Eric Mann for coming up with this great idea and for our longtime pal, Trevor Kronemann, who we competed against on the ATP Tour, for being a driving force for the implementation of the Doubles Race. And we also thank great tennis leaders like Bill Kellogg, Bruce Hunt and Chris Boyer for their powerful support and help with this new program. We wish all our SoCal juniors good luck and lots of fun in the Bryan Bros. Doubles Race for 2017. We’ll be keeping an eye on the results each Monday morning . . . Mike Bryan and Bob Bryan

Doubles points will be counted, cumulatively, towards the race with each individual partner according to the SCTA Junior Points Tables Levels 1-6. The team, in each age division, that has the highest cumulative points will be designated the top doubles team and win the Race.

The perpetual trophy will be given to the team, in each boys and girls age division 10s-18s, that gains the most cumulative points throughout the year culminating on December 31, 2017.
